Vietnam, a manufacturing economy with two fair cities

Vietnam is a manufacturing and export economy in Southeast Asia, and its trade fairs are split between Ho Chi Minh City in the south and Hanoi in the north. Machinery, food, chemicals, health and refrigeration are the recurring themes.

Vietnam's economy has moved from agriculture toward manufacturing, with electronics, textiles, footwear and furniture produced for export, while coffee, rice and seafood remain important crops and catches. Two cities host most of the fairs. Ho Chi Minh City is the commercial capital of the south and a major port and airport hub, and Hanoi is the political capital of the north. Their pages are Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi.

In Ho Chi Minh City, nearly everything happens at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center. Vinamac Expo presents industrial machinery and equipment as part of a municipal program for enterprise development, Vinachem Expo the chemical industry, and HVACR Vietnam heating, ventilation, refrigeration and smart building technology. Machinery buyers can continue with industry fairs in Vietnam.

Hanoi uses several venues, among them the National Exhibition Construction Center, the Vietnam Exhibition Center and the Vietnam National Convention Center. Tube & Pipe Show Vietnam serves tube, pipe, fitting and steel materials suppliers, and Co-Ref Vietnam is a cold chain and refrigeration exhibition. Transport-related shows are gathered under mobility and transport fairs in Vietnam.

Food and health complete the calendar. Vietnam Foodexpo covers the food and food technology industry, Coffee Expo Vietnam the coffee, tea and bakery trades, VietMedicare Expo pharmaceuticals and medical devices, and Vietnam Home & Garden Expo the home, garden and landscape sectors. Nearly all are international trade exhibitions.
