Trade fairs in Italy

Italy holds its trade fairs at fairgrounds in many regional cities. Milan, Bologna, Verona, Vicenza and Pordenone each carry shows tied to machinery, food technology, jewelry, art and wine, among other fields.

The Italian economy is built on manufacturing, design, food and fashion, and on small and medium-sized companies grouped in industrial districts. Many cities run fairgrounds of their own. Lombardy in the north is an industrial and financial region, Veneto is known for small manufacturers and jewelry, and Emilia-Romagna for machinery, motors and food.

Milan is a main business city of Italy, served by airports and fast rail links. Its fairgrounds host shows on motorcycles, visual communication and business innovation, among them EICMA for the two-wheeler sector. The hub for Milan gathers its events.
