Russia, from Moscow to the Siberian cities

Russia spans a vast territory from Europe to the Pacific, and its trade fair activity is organized around Moscow and Saint Petersburg, with a few regional shows in Siberia and the south. Industry, food, chemicals, furniture and electronics dominate an autumn calendar.

Moscow, the capital, is the seat of the federal ministries and of many company head offices. Saint Petersburg, the former imperial capital on the Baltic, is a port city with shipbuilding and a long industrial tradition. Beyond them, regional centers such as Novosibirsk, Krasnoyarsk, Yekaterinburg and Rostov-on-Don stage events for their local markets.

In Moscow, Crocus Expo hosts many of the shows, alongside events organized by Expocentre. MITEX presents tools and equipment for the tool industry, and Khimia is the exhibition of the chemical industry and chemical science. Pharmtech & Ingredients brings suppliers of machinery, ingredients and packaging to pharmaceutical manufacturers. The page on industry and manufacturing groups these technical shows.

Hospitality, interiors and advertising have their own fixtures in the capital. PIR Expo serves the restaurant, coffee, hotel and food production sectors, Mebel covers furniture, fittings and upholstery every autumn, and REKLAMA is the exhibition of the advertising industry. These events are held in October and November.

In Saint Petersburg, the ExpoForum Convention and Exhibition Centre hosts Peterfood, a B2B food and beverage show built on meetings between suppliers and buyers from retail chains, wholesale and the hotel and restaurant trade, and PulpFor, for machinery used to make pulp, paper, board and tissue. Further east, Siberian Food Week in Novosibirsk addresses the food and beverage market of Siberia and the Russian Far East, and the Siberia International Exhibition and Business Center in Krasnoyarsk hosts regional events.
