Packaging and printing trade fairs

Packaging and printing fairs bring together the machinery, materials and technologies that wrap, label and print goods. They are mainly professional events, and many also cover plastics, paper and converting.

The sector covers packaging and labels, packaging machinery and materials, printing, signage and visual communication, graphic arts and paper converting. Exhibitors present machines, substrates, inks and software, while visitors are converters, brand owners, printers and plant managers looking for equipment and suppliers. Packaging serves many consumer industries, and general industry fairs are a close relative.

Many events combine several trades under one roof. Iraq plast in Erbil presents raw materials and machinery for plastics, printing, paper and packaging, and Propak Cape in Cape Town covers packaging, processing, plastics, printing and labelling for the Western Cape. PackMach Asia Expo in Mumbai covers the processing and packaging industry.

Printing technology has its own specialist events. ASGA Asia-Pacific Screen Printing and Digital Intelligent Printing Expo in Guangzhou addresses screen, digital and industrial printing, and LOUPE India, formerly Labelexpo India, is a show for label and package printing and converting. Paper and board have their own circuit: PulpFor in Saint Petersburg is a show for pulp, paper, board and tissue machinery, and the Paper & Tissue Show London is an international show for the paper, tissue, hygiene and packaging industries.

In Europe, Empack Madrid is an annual packaging fair, and SYSKEVASIA in Athens, held every two years, combines packaging, printing and logistics. Exhibition centers in Warsaw, London, Almaty and Jeddah also host packaging and printing events.
