Security and defense exhibitions

Security and defense exhibitions bring together armed forces, police and public agencies, integrators and equipment suppliers. They are professional events, often paired with a conference, where access is usually limited to the trade.

The sector covers defense and armament, homeland security, fire and safety, policing, physical security and risk management. These are professional shows: consumer gun and knife events belong to leisure. The sector overlaps with technology for surveillance and cybersecurity. Visitors are procurement officers, security managers, engineers and officials, and access is often controlled. Exhibitors present equipment, systems and services, and many shows add a forum where delegations meet.

Indo Defence Expo & Forum in Tangerang covers the tri-service defense, aerospace, maritime and security industries. SIDEC in Celje presents the Slovenian defense industry alongside international companies, and ExpoNaval in Santiago serves naval and maritime needs across Latin America. The American Aerospace & Defense Summit in Glendale is an executive conference for its industry.

Commercial security and safety fairs address buildings, companies and public spaces. ISC East in New York combines an exhibition with an education program for security professionals, and IFSEC India in New Delhi is a commercial security and surveillance expo with a conference. FireProtection Expo in Warsaw focuses on fire protection technology for buildings and infrastructure.

Workplace safety and risk management complete the picture. Worksafe Namur is a one-day trade show on health and safety at work, Préventica Maroc in Casablanca is a congress and trade show on comprehensive risk management, and Vertical Pro in Friedrichshafen serves the professions that work at height. Madrid and London also host professional security events, and the sector overlaps with technology and mobility and transport.
