Overview
MIGS is a business-to-business conference and exhibition for the video game industry. La Guilde du jeu vidéo du Québec, a nonprofit cooperative of game developers, creators, educational institutions and related entrepreneurs, presents it in partnership with XP Gaming, and it takes place once a year.
The program combines four stages of expert talks on game development, business, publishing, AI and mobile gaming, short talks on the practical decisions involved in making and launching a game, and a business exhibition area. An indie zone lets visitors discover new games and talk with the teams behind them, and includes a pitch competition in which independent studios present their game to a jury of industry experts. A dedicated hub connects studios with outsourcing and external development partners.
