A trade fair for conservation, restoration and old building renovation, denkmal covers the field from classic monument preservation to building in existing structures and sustainable building materials. It is organized by Leipziger Messe and takes place every two years.

Alongside the exhibition floor, the event offers more than 200 practical sessions: workshops, congresses, lectures, panel discussions, project presentations and award ceremonies. Live workshops let visitors watch and try traditional trades such as roofing, stonemasonry, plastering, clay building and mosaic work.

The CONTACT matchmaking exchange helps exhibitors, experts and institutions find cooperation partners, and the event also presents training paths, apprenticeships and internships for young skilled workers.

Manufacturers of materials and tools for conservation and restoration, specialist craft and preservation businesses, restorers, architects, educational establishments, and institutions such as associations, societies and foundations.
